ECMHC provides services to programs that support early childhood social-emotional wellness throughout several localities within the Central and Valley regions of Virginia.
ECMHC is a Partnership
Between the Child Development Resources (CDR), the University of Virginia’s Center for Advanced Study of Teaching & Learning (UVA-CASTL), and the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).
CDR & CASTL have collaborated since 2021 to design, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve birth-to-five mental health consultation services throughout several areas within the Central and Valley regions of Virginia.
CDR
Provides ECMHC services to children and early childhood classrooms serving children ages birth to 3 years old.
UVA-CASTL
Provides ECMHC services to children and early childhood (PreK or mixed age) classrooms serving children 3 to 5 years old.

ECMHC consultation services are designed to address the social and emotional needs of children from birth to 5 years.

The confidential referral form takes 5 minutes. Provide your name, contact information, and some information about the child or classroom you are referring.
ECMHC Consultant Follow-Up
Our ECMHC trained consultants will review the referral form and will be in contact with the best format of consultation to meet the child’s needs.
